17 – 25 June 2020, Sweden – Facilitated by Inte Koster, Tom Schaefer and TBA.

This Midsummer Journey takes us out onto Sápmi land where the midnight sun will be our guide to finding our direction. Join us from June 17-26 for a journey into the astounding world of light and wide stretching mountains of northern Sweden around Saltoluokta, at the edge of Sarek Nationalpark and the King’s Trail (Kungsleden).

  • What does it mean to belong to this Earth today How am I being called to participate? What is it that is calling me? What is my direction? What does it mean and take to truly listen?          These are some of the questions we will be working with throughout the journey.

For 7 days we will be roaming the vast wild lands that are home to the Sami people and have been for thousands of years. read more...

Through stepping into conversation we will glimpse into the world of wisdom, knowledge, skills and stories that the Sami people have honored and carried on throughout generations and centuries, throughout violence and oppression, throughout a people’s in-depth relationship with the Earth and life. Through meeting the ancientness of this land – practicing outdoor living skills (such as varying ways of fire making, navigation and working with natural materials) –  learning with wild edible plants – observing and reading the land and the elements – group conversation – creative exercises – an optional facilitated solo-experience – we will explore and learn of our own ancient connection, relationship and responsibility to this Earth – so to welcome this as a grounding foundation and support in our lives.

This journey combines skill-based learning with personal inquiry and, through this, guide you to step into active participation with the ever-interwoven physical outer journey and the often more hidden inner journey of the soul.

Note: This journey is created with deep gratitude for the years of growing friendship and relationship with different people, amongst others Laila Spik and family, who know these lands as their home. In this  journey we hold as a central and main importance the honoring and respecting of their generous and welcoming hearts, as well as the stories of these peoples as one of the Indigenous peoples of our world and time.
